Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club
Come Learn to Sail - The Clubs offers a number of opportunities for children and adults within the community to become involved in sailing.
In the Fall there is an after school program that runs for 6 weeks, from the end of September to mid November. The program is structured for a combination of fun learning for those just starting out, and racing for those with some competitive juices. This program is for Middle and High School Kids and follows the Sail Canada Curriculum.
During the Spring there is a School League that offers kids from Middle and High School the ability to have fun sailing, as well as the chance to race in regattas for their school. This program runs for 8 weeks, from the middle of April until the middle of June and follows Sail Canada Curriculum.
During the Summer months of July and August, The Club offers sailing day camp programs for ages 7 and up. These programs are part of the Sail Canada Program. Children age 10 and under have a full day, one week course; while kids age 11 and up covering two week courses. There are levels of advancement for kids in each age category that challenges proficiency.
